The Raleigh Community is invited to be part of the fun as students in each grade level, Kindergarten through Fifth, share their STEM engineering projects.
- Take a walk through the First Grade’s Storybook Garden.
- Stroll through the Kindergarten’s miniature community for an explanation of which materials are better for building.
- Watch out for the engineered bottle rocketry of the fifth graders.
- Sit in an engineered third grade newspaper chair.
- Play on an electronic game designed by a fourth grade team or
- just view the butterfly buffet created by second graders.
-
Don’t forget to visit the Lego Robotics Lab, StarLab, Science Fair Winners, and Students from NCSU STEM Early College sharing the books they wrote about Environmental Dangers. NC State’s WISE club (Women in Science and Engineering) will test your engineering skills at their activity tables.
Presentations from York students will be given every thirty minutes.
The Science Fair was held on Thursday, February 9th.
The Winning Projects were on display
in the lobby and in the library
for the night of the Sock Hop,
February 10th
All participants will soon receive an invitation
to spend a morning at NCSU to take engineering courses!

Val-
I am impressed with the way you have set up your site. What an ambitious project considering all of the grades you work with as a teacher. The resources you included are wonderful! As I looked at them I found some that will be helpful in my classroom too! You may want to consider opening links from other sites in new windows, something you can do by editing the link and selecting this option. It makes it easier for users to get back to the wiki. You have a great start and have met the requirements for summer camp. Have fun as you implement your new wiki. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Hello Darlene,
Thanks for the helpful comments on my wiki. I do not know that I could opening links from other sites in new windows. I will try to follow the edit link to select this option to make it easier for users to get back to the wiki. This sounds like a very useful tool.
